Awww thank you for the sweet message :)
And sooorry about the url lol
I also think that she should have enough screen time for the audience to be able to see her dealing with her PTSD. I don’t want Hannibal to become this show were issues are brought up and then simply dropped for viewers to imagine (although, after watching season 2, I’m afraid it’s already gotten to that point, especially in regards to Alana) Not only would that help with her character development, but it’d also help people understand that there’s much more to Alana than the fact that she slept with Hannibal. If we forget about that for a second, Alana’s entire world has crumbled down: 1) For a long time she didn’t trust Will, the person whom she had feelings for - she didn’t believe him and as it turns out, he was right all along 2) She’s lost people that were important to her to some degree (assuming Jack doesn’t survive, which I kinda hope) 3) As Caroline recently said, Alana met Hannibal way before she did the other characters. Lecter was her mentor and she trusted him completely. He was her rock. 4) Taking aside the fact that they were in a romantic relationship (as much as I dread saying that lol), what is it going to do to Alana’s ability to trust her instincts? She has lost everyone that was important to her, but herself as well. Protecting and saving Will was her main goal and she failed to do so, so I’m assuming she’ll also deal with an enormous amount of guilt. :(
I’m all for physical therapy. I must admit that I’m over the moon that she’ll be able to walk and talk, because I think her character SL would be reduced to being a mere survivor (Miriam comes to mind), but I want her to be much more than that. I want to see her struggling and later dealing with her PTSD and recovering. I want her to regain trust in herself and others, eventually. I want to see her relationship with Will develop. And I want her to be the one taking down Hannibal.
All that being said, I doubt she’ll get a lot of screen time in season 3, considering how little time she got this past season, how her character was treated and also the fact that they’re going to introduce new characters. I was told that there’ll be a one year jump. UGHHHHH. So I believe the chances of this happening are extremely slim :s
I don’t know how much of Caroline’s perfect acting I’ll be able to handle…
#THIS IS TOO MUCH
So this spiral, this is the golden ratio and it’s a mathematical pattern that just repeats itself in nature, in flower petals and honeybees and, you know, the stars in the galaxy and in every molecule of our DNA. God, we’re so different, all of us.
You and me love war, doesn’t matter what it’s for!
Pandemonium reigns and we’re bludgeoning brains!
Give us war, war, war…keep it down to a roar!
Warriors love war, war, war!
